NORTH JACKSON CHURCH OF CHRIST MISSIONS
B.S. Browne

Brother B.S. Browne preaches at Faith's Penn, Jamaica. He has been serving the Lord's Church there for a good many years, but that doesn't slow him down a bit. The congregation is really excited about getting into their new church building. They aren't quite ready to move yet, but the excitement is building as they near the completion date. The new building will have classrooms, an auditorium, two bathrooms and a kitchen. The building will be equipped with outside speakers. They average around 100 in attendance each Sunday and usually baptize about 35 each year. Brother and Sister Browne have two sons and one daughter. The two sons are both preaching and the daughter is a diplomat in Kingston, Jamaica. Needless to say, Brother Browne is a busy man. He has been wonderful about keeping the congregation at North Jackson informed with regular reports each month. We appreciate his hard work and dedication to God's Word. Having recently visited Brother Brown, we found out first hand just how busy he really is. The church in Faith's Pen is growing and excited about God's word. The are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Their little community lies nestled in the mountains of Jamaica about 1 hour form Kingston. They have two promising young men worshiping with them, Philip Brown and Marlin McKenzie. These two men are supplying new zeal to the spreading of God's Word in Faith's Pen. |
