We are praying for another great year in 2010 with our mission efforts.

Lord willing January 14, 2010 two of our Elders and three of our ministers will visit our Brothers and Sisters in Christ in Trujillo, Peru.  Our visit this year will serve to encourage everyone in the work there and strengthen our bonds.  We look for ward to seeing everyone, as we have become friends with many.

A bit of history:

North Jackson's work in Trujillo, Peru has really seen great success.  We are blessed to have 3 very capable and willing missionaries who labor there daily doing the Lord's work. Pedro, Fernando, and Hermenegildo are all products of Baxter Institute in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Baxter's commitment to spreading the Word through excellently qualified preachers is touching the entire Central and South American world.

The Church in Trujillo has grown to over 200 members.  Trujillo is a city with over 800,000 people.  To our knowledge the Church of Christ has never had a presence in the city until 2002, when we began working there.  We are excited about our work and anxious about our future.  Each year we plan to help the work there by conducting a medical, benevolent and biblical campaign, to help introduce the Church's presence to the people of Trujillo.  Our first campaign in 2004 was a huge success.  Many contacts were made and follow up studies were set up by Fernando, Hermenegildo and Pedro.  These studies have lead to a steady increase in baptisms and members.
