We are so fortunate to be able to help Geovanny and his wife Martha as they spread the Word.  The reports and photos from Geovanny indicate that he is extremely busy and the harvest has been bountiful for our Lord.  God is truly guiding his efforts and bearing fruit.  We are so excited about Geovanny's work and his future in and around Tegucigalpa

Our Honduras Mission effort has been a huge success for many of us for 11 years.  Not only have our lives been enriched but we have touched many lives in Honduras, with the love that Christ taught us to share.  We have truly been blessed with many opportunities to serve.  It has been a moving experience, for all that have been involved.

Mission work is so wonderful.  Each of us that go always feel that we have received much more than we have been able to give.  North Jackson's efforts began in 1997.  The experience kindled a fire that has grown and matured into today's ongoing effort.  In 1998 North Jackson and its members formed their own brigade and traveled to Tegucigalpa to begin work that is ongoing today.

The work in Honduras is unique.  Baxter Institute is a school of preaching located in the heart of Tegucigalpa.  This college gives young men from over 14 countries the education they need to be effective preachers of the gospel throughout Central and South America.  James Moody Adams Health Care Clinic is located on the Baxter campus.  James Moody is a free outreach clinic serving people throughout Honduras.  Poverty is widespread and business is good at the clinic.  Over 17 different brigades formed from hundreds of churches of Christ travel to and work at James Moody throughout each year.  The brigades do many different kinds of work such as medical, optometric, benevolent, dental and construction.  Through these benevolent works, contacts are established.  Bible studies are set up and conducted by the resident preacher, Saul.  The student preachers at Baxter also follow up on contacts, as they travel each week-end, to help facilitate the more than 20 local congregations that have been established in and around Tegucigalpa.  Thus the work of spreading the Word is accomplished.

The brigades formed by North Jackson each year have involved over 16 different congregations down through the years.  Three of those congregations have split off and are forming and taking their own brigades.  Thus, the effort grows.

We invite you to become involved in this effort and experience the wonderful feelings that Jesus must have felt as he went about his work.
